REMINDER: Wednesday October 24 is a HALF DAY!
STUDY SKILLS:
You all have a very big World History test on Tuesday this week. We will be preparing for it during class. I will let you work on your study guide as well as play a game to help you study.
BASIC ENGLISH:
I will be passing back your quizzes from last week. They all looked great! Remember each day to start the class with your Oral Language packet. There will be no homework this week. We will be doing a lot of reading in class to get us caught up on Tuesdays With Morrie. We will be choosing a Tuesday to choose a quote from and lead a discussion group in class. I will talk about this more later in the week.
BASIC ALGEBRA:
I will be passing back and going over quizzes from last week. They looked okay, but there were some silly mistakes and minor calculation errors. Make sure if you are in doubt to use a calculator!! This week, we will be touching on a mini consumer math unit. We will be learning about salary, deductions and budgeting. We will be "looking" for a job and trying to find a place to live based on what we would make at that job. On Wednesday (since it's a short period), we will be doing a problem solving activity. We will resume with Chapter 3 next week.
