TERM 3
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Some of the students seemed very sleepy this morning. I hope everyone is able to wake up and tackle the beginning of Term 3. We can do this!!
BASIC ENGLISH:
We are working on our Wanted Posters Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We will be doing some of the work for this in the computer lab or in the IMC. Please make every effort to do your very best and BE CREATIVE (it counts!). Some of you are very artistic and enjoy this type of assignment. I'm excited to see the end result! We'll be watching the movie on Thursday and Friday. Next week, you will be doing oral presentations - presenting your Wanted Posters. More to come on this as the week progresses!
BASIC ALGEBRA:
We will be starting a new chapter this week. Chapter 5 Proportional Reasoning and Probability. On Monday and Tuesday, we will be going over notes for Section 1 - Solving Proportions. We will practice solving proportions on Tuesday in class. Wednesday, we will be going over more notes for Section 2 - Scale Drawings and Models.
HOMEWORK:
Tuesday - Study Guide 5-1
Wednesday - Study Guide 5-2
Thursday - Practice 5-2
STUDY SKILLS:
On Monday, you will get new seats. This term, I will be checking agendas more frequently and grading you accordingly. Please remember that it is extremely important for you to come to class prepared and work on school work that you need help with.
