Wow! Finally, we have a full week of school!! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing February vacation, and that you are all excited and ready to come back and work hard. I can't believe that we are already almost halfway through term 3. Time sure flies!
This week:
BASIC ENGLISH:
We are starting the short story "A Sound of Thunder" this week. You will be working on a pre-reading brainstorm about time travel and using this to write a paragraph about time travel. Also, you will be learning vocabulary from the story as well as elements of a short story. We will be reading the story and discussing the Butterfly Effect. Next week, you will be writing your time travel paragraph as well as begin a power point presentation about time travel.
BASIC ALGEBRA:
We will be working on Chapter 5, Sections 4 & 5. Section 4 is the Percent Equation, section 5 is the Percent of Change. We will have a QUIZ on these two sections on FRIDAY.

Monday - Study Guide 5-4 #1-12
Tuesday - Practice 5-4 #1-12
Wednesday - Study Guide 5-5
Thursday - Study for Friday's QUIZ
STUDY SKILLS:
Bring all of your materials to class! You have a lot of work due this week in History and English. Please use this time to get the help you need and get your work done.
