I hope everyone had a great first week of school. I know it's a HUGE transition coming from middle school to high school. Please see any of your teachers or your guidance counselor if you have any questions about your schedule (or anything).
This week -
STUDY SKILLS:
We will continue to practice the skill of using the agendas and keeping an organized monthly calendar. I will be conferencing with you this week to help you understand our Study Skills rubric.
BASIC ALGEBRA:
We are moving forward with chapter 1. We'll be moving into PEMDAS (order of operations) and learning some of the properties (commutative, associative and distributive) which will help when simplifying expressions and equations.
Homework:
Monday - Study Guide 1-2 #1-10
Wednesday - Study Guide 1-3
Friday - QUIZ in class
Please remember that you will be presenting your Summer Reading during your C PERIOD classes this week (Tuesday through Friday).
FINALLY - On Wednesday this week, we will be having our Freshman Assemblies. This year, advisers or representatives from all of the clubs, sports and after school activities will be invited to attend. Make it your goal to find at least ONE thing to join this fall. Get involved at PSHS to help make a more positive high school experience.
