I hope everyone had a great (LONG!) weekend! The weather is starting to get cooler and the days are shorter. Everyone showed up today seemingly very sleepy. Make sure you are getting adequate sleep and starting your day off right.
This week.......
Basic Algebra:
I will be double-checking the correcting you did in class and getting your Friday quiz grades into Aspen. If you received a grade below 60% and would like to make it up, please see me. I will be after school on Tuesday and Thursday this week and Tuesday next week. We'll be continuing to work on Chapter 2 - learning about Multiplying and Dividing Integers. REMEMBER - you are allowed to use a calculator and you MUST use a pencil for your work.
Homework this week:
Tuesday - Study Guide 2-5
Wednesday - Practice 2-5
Thursday - Study Guide 2-6
Thursday - Study for Friday's QUIZ
Basic English:
I will be grading your Friday quizzes and getting them into Aspen. Please see me to make up the quiz if you received a grade below 60%. I will give you a week to make it up. We will be reading more of Tuesday's With Morrie this week. We will also be learning how to integrate quotes into answers to comprehension questions from the story. Finally, we'll be starting to incorporate Daily Oral Language skills into our daily routine. I will go over this later this week.
Study Skills:
Please remember to USE this time to get help with your assignments and study for your quizzes. Many of your progress reports stated that homework is incomplete.
