BASIC ENGLISH:
We will be learning new vocabulary from Tuesdays With Morrie and practicing using these words in sentences. We will be starting to read and discuss the book together in class. On Friday, students will complete a vocabulary activity worksheet which will be graded as a classwork grade (10 Points). REMEMBER: Class journals are very important!!!! I will be going over a new rubric this week to assist you with your writing and what I expect to see in your journals. No homework this week.
BASIC ALGEBRA:
This week, three new students joined our class, so we are going to spend some time reviewing the material from last week to assure everyone is on the same page with the material. We'll be reviewing how to add and subtract integers (Chapter 2 Sections 3 & 4) and how to graph sets of points on the coordinate plane.
Homework:
Monday - Skills Practice 2-1
Tuesday - Skills Practice 2-3
Wednesday - Enrichment 2-3
Friday we will have another short quiz on Chapter 2, Sections 1-4.
STUDY SKILLS:
Make sure you continue to bring homework and projects to G period. CP2 students have a History assignment due Wednesday (comparing and contrasting Buddhism and Hinduism). All students have Math worksheets each day and a quiz on Friday.
I stay after school every TUESDAY if anyone needs extra help. Make arrangements with me if you want to stay after on Tuesday or any other day this week.
