Week of 11/26 - 11/30

I hope everyone had a fantastic and restful Thanksgiving break!  We are back at school and it is our first full week of school in a while.  We do have a half day this Wednesday for teacher in-service.  There are only 4 weeks left until Christmas Vacation!  Make sure you all buckle down and concentrate (as difficult as that may be).

*****REMINDER*****

This week, there will be a LATE BUS on Tuesday and Thursday!  This is great news as students will be able to stay after school and not have to worry about getting a ride home.  No excuses!  If you need extra help after school, stay after!

BASIC ENGLISH:  This week, we will (finally) finish up reading Tuesdays With Morrie.  We will be taking a comprehension quiz and learning new vocabulary words.  Also, I have not scored your memoirs yet.  I want you to take a good, long look at them and evaluate yourselves and decide whether or not you have done your best.  I will be giving you a scoring rubric to go with your memoir.  You may use this to make revisions and edits as you see fit.

BASIC ALGEBRA:  We will be starting Chapter 4 this week.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be learning how to multiply and divide rational numbers.  We will begin to solve equations with multiplying and dividing.  There will be a quick quiz on Friday on Chapter 4, sections 1 and 3.

Homework -
Monday - Study Guide 4-1
Tuesday - Practice 4-1
Wednesday - no homework
Thursday - Study Guide 4-3 (study for quiz)

STUDY SKILLS -
Work on your History PROJECT (Crusades Advertisement) and preparing for the TEST on Friday (CP2) and ESSAY Friday (CP1).  All students have to bring in a poster board for Science.  All students have Math worksheets and a quiz on Friday!

Have a great week!
