We're starting fresh for the last term AND it's the week before vacation! So many of you have mentioned that you are planning to use term 4 as your "fresh start" to show major improvements. I'm excited to see this as the term progresses.
This week - I will be OUT on Wednesday and Thursday. I will be leaving review work with the substitute for my Algebra and English classes. This work will be collected and graded as your first class work grades for term 4.
ENGLISH:
On Monday, you will be finishing up writing your persuasive arguments for The Scarlet Ibis. Tuesday, will be starting some background information (learning characters, background PowerPoint) for Romeo and Juliet. On Friday, we'll be playing a character game.
ALGEBRA:
On Monday, we will be going over our quizzes from last week and beginning the next section of chapter 6 (Functions). You will be getting a new packet of notes on Monday and we will be practicing these types of problems using the book Monday and Tuesday. On Friday, we will be playing an Algebra Jeopardy game.
Homework:
Monday - Study Guide 6-4
STUDY SKILLS:
This is the last term of your freshman year! If your grades for term 3 (or any of the terms so far) weren't up to par, you have the opportunity to use Study Skills to help you bring up your grades. Mrs. Cheetham and I are always here to help you be successful! It's up to YOU to do the work, ask for help, and take the responsibility for your education.
I WILL BE AFTER SCHOOL MONDAY AND FRIDAY THIS WEEK!
Final reminder - Fit Club this week will only be on Tuesday at 2:15 in the wrestling gym. Join us!
Have a great week -
~Mrs. Francis
