Week of May 13 - 17, 2013

These weeks are flying by!!  I hope you all have set your goals to attain the highest success possible by the end of the school year.  It's crazy to think that you are closer to being Sophomores than you are to being Middle Schoolers - doesn't seem possible, does it?

This week..........

BASIC ENGLISH:
Monday and Tuesday, I will be proctoring MCAS.  I have left a Romeo and Juliet writing assignment for you to begin on Tuesday.  We will be working on this the rest of the week and using the laptops to write the final drafts.  We will also finish (hopefully) watching the old version of Romeo and Juliet. The plan is, to begin To Kill a Mockingbird next week!

BASIC ALGEBRA:
Again, I am proctoring MCAS on Monday and Tuesday.  I am not sure if I will see you on Tuesday as it might finish up earlier (as it did Monday).  You will be working on a couple of review sheets to keep your minds fresh for the final exam.  On Wednesday, we will begin Chapter 7-5 Graphing Linear Equations.  We've already been doing a little bit of this in class, so it should not be too difficult for you.  We need to review the point-slope formula and the slope-intercept.  Those concepts were a bit of a struggle for some.  We will spend more time on these in the next couple of weeks.
Homework:
Wednesday - Study Guide 7-5 Graphing Linear Equations #1-4
Thursday - Study Guide 7-5 Graphing Linear Equations #5-8

STUDY SKILLS:
You ALL stated that you want to improve for Term 4.  Good news is, that IS POSSIBLE!  Please use this period to get extra help and get those assignments done.  Mrs. Cheetham and I are here for you!  Use us!

REMINDER:
Homework Club is Tuesday in Room 218

FIT CLUB is after school Tuesday and Thursday in the Wrestling Gym
Tuesday - Les Mills PUMP Sports Attack and Hardcore Abs
Thursday - P90X Plyometrics

Have a GREAT week everyone!
